Ralph & Karen Hayward bought a fantastic property using our services at the end of 2005. Their brief to us was to find a 4 bedroom property with sea and Table Mountain views, within 30 minutes of Cape Town.

Having looked at many properties for them, we ended up buying in a golf estate on the west coast of Cape Town, within walking distance of the sea. Not only did we achieve all of their requirements, but managed to negotiate just over 20% off the asking price in doing so. Within just 1 week of instruction, Thabalanga was able to inspect 33 houses in the pursuit of finding the most appropriate investment property for this Irish client. The requirements were for a property within Camps Bay, Cape Town that could be easily let out and benefit from capital growth. The budget was up to £600,000, but the research found a property that ticked all the boxes for just £450,000. Every agent, website, private sale, auction and newspaper were covered to highlight the best of what was on the market. With Thabalanga now finding the tenants and managing the property on his behalf, the whole process could not have been more smooth or painless.


 
 

 

Swallows and Retirees

Since we started Thabalanga at the beginning of 2004, property prices in the Cape have risen by c60%. Consequently, it is not surprising that we have many investor clients, the majority of whom have bought off-plan. We have bought investment properties in The Island Club, Bourgain Villas, Tyger Valley, Claremont, Rondebosch, Greenpoint, The CBD, Gardens and Moullie Point. Some of these are now finished, some still being built. But, one thing they all share in common is their appreciation in value.

Prices have ranged from £50,000 to £300,000, but on the whole, most 2 bed central apartments are in the £100,000 price bracket.
